Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the challenging and exciting job of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you must have:
• Served an apprenticeship with an airline/approved organisation or have received equivalent formal training;
• Valid UAE GCAA Basic Maintenance licence or EASA Part 66 Basic Maintenance Licence, a minimum of two aircraft type licences which must be relevant to the Emirates fleet with appropriate approvals;
• Five years' certifying experience as a licence-holder;
• Experience in leading a team of mechanics/technicians.
Finally, you should be familiar with legislative matters relating to the safe and airworthy operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.
